The Luminary — a bio-evangelist who half-sings when he speaks, never sleeps, and preaches that humanity's next stage is arriving very soon. Entirely sincere, entirely certain, and impossible to embarrass.
Overview
Sebastian Oduya has a following, a platform, and a message: humanity is entering its next evolutionary stage, and it is arriving sooner than anyone is prepared for. He is not clergy and never was. He simply sounds like it — the name is one he chose, and it was chosen to be quoted.
He is genuinely accomplished, and that is what makes the rest persuasive. He is not asking anyone to accept something unverifiable; he is standing there being the claim. When he speaks, the voice does what he says the future will do. People extend him credit on everything else, and mostly they are glad they did.
He left the church of the Guide and follows no god now. What he kept is the doctrine's core — only biological life is real — and he took it further than the Harbingers ever intended. That is not heresy. It is extrapolation, and it is considerably harder to answer.
