Overview

Orion builds hulls, ordnance and artificial minds. It holds the exclusive contracts that arm the Concord's defence posture, it owns the flagship yards on Luna, and its throne is the arsenal-world Orion Bastion. Where Weyland builds the ground and Helios sells the body, Orion supplies the means of force and the systems that run it.

It leads the Sphere in AI systems — the market it dominates most completely and discusses least.

What it wants

• Retain shipbuilding, weapons and AI primacy
• Keep the Concord's defence contracts exclusive
• Militarised expansion outward, framed as security
• The catena ban maintained, permanently

The Labour Question

Orion is the incumbent, and scarcity is its margin.

It held the largest catena stock when the ban came down, which means it holds the largest population of Instanced in the Sphere — and every one of them is an asset that cannot be replaced at any price. Relegalisation would flood a market Orion currently prices by itself.

So Orion is the ban's most reliable defender and the one with the least principled reason to be. Publicly it argues security and precedent. See The Labour Question.
